About Us

The Wind Energy Center has installed, and is operating, a 145-foot, 50 kilowatt wind turbine at the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Advanced Technology Center for training and energy production purposes.

A one year certificate training is offered for small wind technicians, as well as summer youth programs for students interested in wind energy. Public seminars will be offered frequently detailing KVCC's experience in the successful implementation of a wind turbine project.

We are the national training center for Entegrity Wind Systems, offering technician maintenance, installation, commissioning and feasibility training.

The Wind Energy Center at Kalamazoo Valley Community College has collaborated with the College of Engineering at Western Michigan University as part of the Alternative and Renewable Energy partnership.
